What will happen to Giroud and Podolski when Higuain arrives?

The news of the Higuain transfer deal been almost completed brings a general excitement to all Gooners worldwide. It encourages a long lost good feeling in anticipation to a coming season. I can smell Silverware close. In all these excitement I know some of us will be wondering, what will be the fate of our season old forwards Giroud and Podolski?

Well, it will be very natural to fit Goal-zalo Higuain straight to the starting line-up due to his class and goal scoring reputation leaving my favorite Podolski and Giroud on the bench. This major change sounds a little harsh considering the fact that Giroud in his first season has scored 17 goals with 10 assist and also Podolski in his first season with injury problems netted 16 goals in 33 appearance with 11 assists. I welcome this development positively. Why?! you may ask, in the coming "Silverware hunt" 2013/2014 season will be confronted with over 65 fixtures from the EPL, FA Cup, Capital One Cup and UEFA Champions League respectively. This challenge cannot be placed under a single center-forward.

So placing Giroud and Podolski to start for FA and Capital One fixtures wont be a bad idea after all. One of the reason's to our trophy drought has been dew to the inexperienced squad AW uses in these 2 competitions. The likes of Chelsea and Man City put their all in these so called minor cups so why can't we do the same and get some silverware home next season

With extra excitement am also anticipating the arrival of Julio Cesar and Fellaini. With these kind of players who knows Champions League trophy is not far from our hands
